1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using TheBookOfBiz (“Service”), operated by My Freedom Compass (“We,” “Us,” or “Our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

The Service is intended for independent tutors and tutoring businesses.

2. Description of the Service

TheBookOfBiz is a subscription-based software platform that provides tools for:

  • Scheduling and calendar management
  • Student/client management
  • Public booking pages
  • Payment tracking (subscription fees only)
  • Optional integrations with third-party services (including Google Calendar and Google authentication)
  • AI-assisted features for summaries or organization

TheBookOfBiz does not facilitate or process payments between end clients and service providers. All financial transactions handled by the Service relate only to the SaaS subscription.

We may update, modify, or discontinue features of the Service at any time.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you have the legal authority to enter into this agreement.

4. Account Registration and Security

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
  • All activities conducted under your account
  • Ensuring that information you provide is accurate and up to date

You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

5. Subscriptions, Billing, and Cancellation

Billing

Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis, depending on the plan selected. Charges will appear as My Freedom Compass.

No Refund Policy

All subscription fees are non-refundable. We do not provide refunds or credits for partial billing periods.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, your access will remain active until the end of the current billing period.

Plan Changes

Downgrades or upgrades take effect at the start of the next billing cycle unless otherwise stated.

6. User Content and Responsibility

You retain ownership of all data you enter into the Service, including client names, scheduling details, and notes.

You are solely responsible for:

  • The legality and appropriateness of the data you enter
  • Obtaining any necessary consent from your clients or students
  • Complying with applicable privacy and data protection laws in your jurisdiction

7. Third-Party Services and Integrations

The Service integrates with third-party platforms, including but not limited to:

  • Google Calendar
  • Google Sign-In
  • Payment processors such as Stripe

We are not responsible for third-party services or their availability. Use of third-party services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless My Freedom Compass, its owners, employees, contractors, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any applicable laws or third-party rights

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, My Freedom Compass shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, USA.
