Payment information is processed by Stripe and is not stored on our servers.

b. Google User Data

When you connect your Google account, we may access limited Google user data, including:

  • Your Google account name and email (for authentication)
  • Calendar event data only for the purpose of syncing events you create in TheBookOfBiz

We do not access Google contacts, emails, or unrelated calendar data.

3. How We Use Information

We use your information to:

  • Authenticate users
  • Provide scheduling and booking functionality
  • Sync events you create to Google Calendar (one-way sync)
  • Communicate important service updates
  • Provide customer support

4. Google API Data Use and Disclosure

TheBookOfBiz’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Specifically:

  • We do not sell, share, or transfer Google user data to third parties
  • Google Calendar data is used only to create or update calendar events you explicitly initiate
  • Google user data is not used for advertising
  • Google user data is not used to train AI models

5. Data Retention and Deletion (Google Requirement)

Google User Data

  • Google authentication data (name and email) is retained only while your account remains active
  • Google Calendar data is not stored persistently beyond what is required to perform calendar synchronization
  • Calendar sync operates one-way: from TheBookOfBiz to your Google Calendar

Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your account at any time by contacting support@thebookofbiz.com.

Upon deletion:

  • Your account information is permanently removed within a reasonable timeframe
  • Any stored Google authentication tokens are revoked and deleted
  • We no longer retain access to your Google account or calendar

6. AI Features and Data Use

If you use AI-assisted features:

  • Data is processed transiently to provide summaries or organizational assistance
  • Data is not used to train public or shared AI models
  • We avoid processing sensitive personal or student data for AI purposes

7. Cookies and Session Data

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

  • Maintain login sessions
  • Secure accounts
  • Collect anonymous usage statistics

You may disable cookies in your browser, though some features may not function properly.
